I am a custom embroider, not a contract embroider. This means I don’t bid on large contract jobs that take precedence over your order. My specialty is working with small businesses and individuals to create high-quality products at the best price. You are my priority.

For Business Logo or Custom Artwork Design

1. Logo and/or Custom Artwork

For first time customers: Attach your logo with the order form so I can digitize it. The ideal file formats are either Vector files (.ai, .eps, .pdf) or high-resolution Raster files (.psd, .jpg, .tiff, .png) at 300 dpi. If you don’t have any of these, take a picture of your logo with your digital camera in natural light and send the picture. If your logo is already on file, skip this step.

2. Order Apparel

If you want to purchase your apparel through me, browse the apparel catalog. Choose the apparel you want the logo embroidered on. Include the product number, brand name, description, color, size, and quantity on the order form.

The brands I recommend for polo shirts and athletic wear are: Port & Company, Port Authority, Sport-Tek and Hanes. The brand I recommend for button down dress shirts is Red House.

3. Provide Your Own Items

If you want me to embroider your logo or custom design on your own personal items, indicate that on the order form, and we’ll coordinate a time for you to drop them off. Or you can have them drop shipped directly to me if you are ordering them.

4. Contact Information

Include your contact information so I can call or email you with the quote and final ordering details.

Here's my formula for your success:

The top-of-the-line embroidery machine I use is a dual-head Tajima embroidery machine.

The high-quality threads I use are Madeira threads in Polyneon, Matte and Super Twist variations.

  • Madeira Polyneon thread is extremely durable and smooth running. It comes in vibrant colors that are glossy, shiny, and resistant to chlorine bleach. It is heat resistant so it doesn’t burn when adding heat pressed bling on the embroidered design.

  • Madeira Matte thread offers a matte-finish that does not reflect the light, which gives this thread an unrivalled look and makes your design a real eye-catcher.

  • Madeira Supertwist thread gives designs dimension and a unique textured effect.

The premium apparel brands I recommend are:

Screen printing is another great option for embellishing your wearables. This process is also sometimes referred to as silk screening.

Screen printing offers a more casual look than embroidery. It’s a great choice for athletic wear, casual T-shirts, and jackets, and great for business logos on T-shirts worn by the work crew.

You can add a large screen-printed logo to the back of a T-shirt or jacket without the weight or expense of a large embroidered logo.

If you only want a few items embellished, contact me to see if embroidery or digital heat transfer would be a more cost effective option.

To get your screen printing order started:

Fill out the order form and return it with your logo or graphic to melanie@keyembroidery.com

Heat press is used to create custom designs such as adding vinyl letters and numbers to sports jerseys and adding bling to a T-shirt or embroidered logo. Foil transfer offers a shiny option making it a great choice for special occasion T-shirts like a golden anniversary celebration.

Another technique I offer is digital heat transfer. I can print out your logo or graphic on special transfer paper using a solvent ink and then use the heat press to adhere it to your apparel. This is a good choice if your custom artwork has a lot of colors with high resolution. And it’s more cost effective than screen printing if you want the design on just a few items.

This method is a custom process so please call, text or email me and let’s talk about your project. Once I know exactly what you want, I’ll be able to give you a quote.
